To Be Invisible....

The upcoming series centers around the current issues facing many Americans in the midst of economic struggles. A few of the hardships upon us are feelings of despair, financial woes and tests of faith. Times like these are such that an individual can lose their identity, thus feeling as if they are invisible.The paintings are modeled after images taken during the Great Depression and are inspired by the music of Curtis Mayfield from the late 1970's and cultural struggles of the Civil Rights Movement. With the current presidential election approaching, the issues of race and separatism are resurfacing as dominant topics, however, the collection focuses more on issues that affect society as a whole.
